Who we are

GearEdge is a Bengaluru, India-based studio that designs and builds websites and business automations. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean GearEdge. If you have any question about your information, email us at contact@thegearedge.com.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to talk with you and do the work:

• Details you send through our contact form — typically your name, email address, phone number, and a description of your business and what you are looking for.
• Details you send through our appointment booking form — your name, mobile number, location, the date and time you request, and optionally your email address and company name.
• Anything you share in conversation — the contents of the emails, phone calls, and WhatsApp chats you have with us about your project.

When you submit our contact form or book an appointment, your details are sent to a secure backend we operate (built on Google's infrastructure) and stored for our team to follow up. Booking an appointment also triggers an automatic email to us so we can confirm your slot quickly, and, if you gave an email address, a short confirmation email to you. If you use our quick registration link instead, that information is collected through Google Forms.

You do not need to create an account to use this site, and we do not collect or store payment card details here. Billing is handled separately, through the invoice for your project.

Why we collect it

We use your information for one purpose: to understand, scope, deliver, and support your project. In practice that means replying to your enquiry, preparing a quote, doing the agreed work, and staying in touch about it afterwards. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics — we reach people offline, through pamphlets and referrals, rather than by tracking visitors. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page first. Note that WhatsApp, email, and phone are run by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies when you use them to reach us.

How your information is stored

Your information is stored securely and kept only as long as we need it to deliver and support your project, or as long as we are required to keep it for legitimate business and legal reasons. When it is no longer needed, we remove it. We use Google's infrastructure — including Google Sheets and Google Forms — to receive and store enquiry details securely. Google processes this information on our behalf as a service provider, and it is also subject to Google's own privacy terms for these products.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — just email contact@thegearedge.com and we will take care of it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you, and we will.

Children

Our services are meant for businesses and the people who run them. This website and our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business grows or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
