Terms of Service

Last updated: July 23, 2026

These terms explain how we work together when you use the GearEdge website or engage us to build something for you. By contacting us to start a project or by using this site, you agree to them. We have kept them plain and short on purpose.

What we do

GearEdge designs and builds custom websites and business automations for small and local businesses. Most projects are a one-time setup — we design, build, and launch what you need — with optional ongoing support or changes where we agree to them separately.

How a project works

It usually starts with a conversation. You reach out through our contact form, email, phone, or WhatsApp; we talk through what your business needs; and we send you a quote. Once you approve the quote, we begin. Payment is made per the agreed project quote or invoice — the specific amounts, stages, and timelines are whatever we have set out together for your project.

What we need from you

To do our best work, we need you to provide the content, materials, and access the project requires, and to give feedback in reasonable time. Please only give us materials — text, images, logos, and so on — that you have the right to use. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you supply.

Ownership of the work

Once your project is paid for in full, you own the final delivered assets we created specifically for you — such as your website, its content, and the custom work we produced for you. Until final payment is made, that work remains ours. Third-party components we build with — for example fonts, libraries, and platform plugins — stay under their own licenses. We may show the finished work in our own portfolio and marketing; if you would prefer we did not, just tell us at contact@thegearedge.com and we will keep your project private.

Payments, changes, and refunds

Fees, payment stages, revisions, and any refunds are handled per the individual agreement for your project. If the scope changes along the way, we will discuss it and agree on any impact before carrying on.

Referrals and the Partner Program

If you take part in our referral or Partner Program, separate terms apply to that arrangement, and we will provide them to you when you join. Those terms govern how referrals and any commission work.

No guarantees

We build with care and do our honest best, but the service and this website are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We cannot promise specific business results — such as a particular amount of traffic, sales, search rankings, or growth — because those depend on many factors outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, GearEdge is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of this website or our services. Where we are found liable, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for the project the claim relates to.

Third-party services

Some of what we build relies on third-party platforms — for example WhatsApp, email providers, and hosting services. Their availability, changes, and terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for issues that arise from them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. GearEdge is based in Bengaluru, India.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and continuing to work with us or use the site means you accept the current version.
